Why Solvers Use the Wordle Answer Archive
One of the most effective strategies for Wordle players is using the non-repeating answer rule. Ever since the game was acquired by The New York Times, official policy has remained consistent: a word that has already been used as a Wordle answer is never reused as a daily solution.
This means if you are stuck on guess 5 or 6 and split between two candidate words (for example, CRANE vs CRANK), searching our archive allows you to quickly determine if one of those words was already used in a previous month or year. If it was, you can eliminate it immediately and guarantee a correct guess!
